UV DTF AB Film

UV DTF polymer cold transfer film, also called UV DTF AB film. It first prints glue, isolation, patterns, hot stamping, and varnish layer by layer on special PP release paper to form patterns, trademarks, etc., then covers it with transfer film, and then uses the transfer film to lift the pattern and attach it to the surface of the object.

HaiYi UV-DTF AB Film

The pattern of HaiYi UV DTF film will be more vivid than ordinary film, and the adhesion ability will be better. Moreover, the printing effect is 3D, and it will be more advanced after being attached to items. At the same time, its application range is very wide, as long as it is a hard object such as wood, crystal, PVC, ABS, acrylic, it can be attached. It can be pasted on flat, curved and other ordinary hard objects.

Characteristics of UV DTF Process

1. UV DTF is convenient and fast, perfectly solving the problem of printing irregular shapes and breaking through the limitation that patterns can only be printed on flat plates;

2. UV DTF has very obvious advantages over ordinary DTF. It has bright patterns, rich colors, strong three-dimensional effect and high gloss. It is easy to pick up and separate during transfer, leaving no residual glue;

3. It saves labor. Compared with processes such as screen printing and transfer printing, if UV printing is used, one person can complete the printing, which also reduces labor costs for the enterprise;

4. Reduced pollution. Compared with weak solvents and the unpleasant and pungent smell of screen printing, UV ink greatly reduces pollution.

Application Scope

Quickly transfer patterns, and can be applied to hard surfaces, soft surfaces, flat surfaces, and curved surfaces, such as mobile phone cases, ceramics, metals, plastics, wood products, paper products, glass products, etc.

UV-DTF AB Film FAQ

UV-DTF is a two-part process involving an A film and a B film. The A film is printed on directly by the printer, utilizing UV curable ink. After printing, a B film, which acts as an adhesive layer, is applied. The combination of these films allows for transferring high-quality, durable designs onto a wide range of substrates including glass, ceramics, and metal. The UV DTF A&B film process is hailed for its no waste, no glue necessities, featuring polymer glue for enhanced adhesion and high fastness, making the printed designs robust and less prone to falling off the substrate

UV DTF Film is used on hard objects such as wood boards, crystals, PVC, ABS, acrylic and other hard objects. It is resistant to high temperatures and water washing, and will not fade or degumming.
Although UV DTF Film has a wide range of uses, it cannot be attached to all items.
1. It cannot be attached to uneven items. The glue cannot completely cover the uneven surface. The air contact will reduce its sticking effect, so uneven items are not suitable for crystal label stickers;
2. It is not recommended to use it on soft materials, such as cloth, leather or rough matte products, as the use effect will be greatly reduced.
3. Use good quality AB film. The glue inside the poor quality AB film will not stick tightly, and the printed pattern will easily fall off, resulting in incomplete pattern.
In addition, when it comes to choosing inks, uvdtf inks are divided into hard, neutral and soft inks, and the inks used in different items are also different.
At the same time, UV special inks need to be of good quality to better fix the pattern and not fade easily. Moreover, the quality of the UVDTF printer’s nozzle and lamination temperature will also affect the quality of the UV DTF Film.

Insufficient ink adhesion and ink loss are common problems in the label printing process. This situation is mainly caused by low surface tension of the film material, poor UV curing, and improper dosage of ink additives.
