Heat transfer film is a plastic film with adhesive on the surface. It is attached to the surface of fabric or leather. Then, it is heated at an appropriate temperature with an iron or hot press laminating machine to fix the heat transfer film on it to achieve the purpose of heat transfer.
Single-sided film: Only one side is coated, which is the printing side
Double-sided: Both sides are coated, one side is the printing side, and one side is the anti-slip side (no printing function)
Why do we need single-sided and double-sided?
Advantages of single-sided film compared with double-sided film: low cost,
Disadvantages: Because early machines or some older machines are not accurate in the positioning of one side, they are easy to slip and pull, resulting in inaccurate alignment of the printed pattern. Some machines have high static electricity. When using a single-sided film, the powder will not shake cleanly.
Advantages of double-sided film: There is an anti-slip coating on the back of the double-sided film, which can be better fixed and not easy to move. It remedies these problems that are prone to single-sided film and shakes the powder cleanly
Disadvantages: high cost
Note: Now the pressure wheels of new machines are updated and upgraded, which can fully meet the printing of single-sided films.
